Guys.... I miss an old friend of mine which I destroyed...

Due to a sad incident which happened a few months ago and in a moment of extreme rage, I completely destroyed my favourite G-7700. This is my favourite G-Shock and the best which I have ever owned and the one which I like the most.

    I won't say why I did it.

Anyway, it is one tough little fellow. You will be surprised at how much effort it took to destroy it with a HAMMER. First, I cut the straps with a sharp pair of scissors and it really is hard to cut through. Believe me.

Then I smashed the back with a hammer. Still ticking.

Then I smashed the glass with the hammer. Glass breaks but still ticking. I don't understand WHY it can still work despite my hammer smashing through the glass.

Then, frustrated at how much effort it took to destroy a G-Shock, I unscrewed the back and smashed everything inside, PCB and all, with the hammer.

Now I regret it..... I hope I can get a replacement soon. I just bloody miss it.... It completes me. I'm hoping to get the G-7710 with a negative display soon.

    THE END.

Yeah.... I am now thinking of getting the one with a negative display.

Anyway which are the G-7700/7710 you own? Any pics?

Oh please...... I won't say why in a public forum. Let's just say it was really sad for me. And in my entire adult life I have NEVER ever felt this sort of rage before. And never have I done something so violent in my life.

Take it easy... at least it's just a watch & not something irreplaceable.

Here's my standard 7700 and yellow 7710RL-9. I've got a standard 7710 on order. I did have a 7710KRT that I sold and now regret.

Yeah, thank goodness it wasn't something more expensive or a limb. I may be distressed but I can still think. I know what I can smash to vent my frustrations(Believe me, I really need to channel my anger SOMEWHERE at that time) and what I can't. Ha ha, thanks to 2 years of army experience.

OMG.... The one on the stand is the one I smashed!!!!!! I can cry when I see it......

I quite like the yellow one when it was launched but at that time I can only get the plain black one. The only G-7700/7710 which I can't stand are the white ones and the Glorious Gold or something, the one with the really glossy straps.

If you want to see a guy smash a G-Shock, you can go to Youtube and search for Buzzbait's torture test video. He smashed a Mudman with a baseball bat.

    @ geebeecee,

to destroy a watch like that it takes a lot of anger and emotions involved, may you want to tell us her name?

don't worry about the G-7700, its just a stupid watch after all and like mentioned before, nothing irreplaceable. there a many G7700's in the world and even more ...waiting to be asked for....well go figure, if you understand my little metapher here....

    regards, holger
