This is the one I was complaining about in the USPS thread which made 8 seemingly random stops from NYC ISC to Schdy area when it usually takes half that. Anyway it was worth the wait. This is a GW-1600TDJ. The GW1600 series came out in 2004 I believe, the TDJ variant in 2005. Mine's a late 2006 according to the serial number. It's very similar to the MRG3000 but I couldn't get any of those at a price I was willing to pay. This is the next best option as it has a titanium bezel (ion plated according to mygshock) and bracelet whereas other GW1600's were SS. This means it has that grayish color I like and is very light. Not a watch I see too many people posting in WRUW.
Some on the wrist (7.25")
MTG style mix of plastic/Ti in parts of the case and bracelet/lug. "The G" on the SS back. "The G" is right people. Gorgeous blueish dial. Has small lcd at the bottom for signal level and battery level. Oval window at the 3 which can display the day or day/date, and the usual world time, stopwatch, alarm, etc. Has power save, auto EL, signal, all that stuff, solar and atomic, the module # is 3382
Haven't studied it too much yet but the seconds hand points to the city in WT mode and is also used in stopwatch mode. It seems if you change the digital time the analog sync up perfectly. It has modest lume
The LED's on the other hand
Not too big of a case size for me, although it is thick, but very lightweight and comfy. I was worried about the bracelet length but with the micro adjust was able to get a great fit which is good because you probably can't get spare links at this point. Very pleased with this one and I'd recommend it wholeheartedly for anyone looking for an analog where the lcd windows don't take up the whole dial. Have a great weekend gents.
