GW-200MS MIRB Frogman with Maratac Elite Band

I received a Maratac Elite composite band for the purposes of experimentation.

It looks better in person. Overall, I think this actually works pretty well. It would look better on a Master Blue or Dawn Black, with a black bezel, obviously. The part I was concerned about was the width, and the 24mm elite is wide enough to work though it doesn't sit flush like the stock band does.

To get this to fit I used a razor blade to increase the notch. Also, I had to make the notch a tiny bit deeper as the holes in the lug are set pretty deep on this watch.

I think they are quite nice straps

Personally I would have opted for black stitching with that model.

Yeah, I wouldn't have bought this particular color. It was donated for the express purpose of conducting this experiment. :)

What other model G's would that fit? It looks great. I don't have a Frogman, but have a Rescue currently being shipped. That would be perfect on that.

That very nearly works. The colour isn't quite right, but I'm happy to have facilitated your experiment. Much better that you had a play with the strap than it sat in my 'bits' box forever. Black stitching would certainly work.
I used to list my watches here until I realised it ruined people's Google searches...

Cool, different, How about some caseback pics? Did you have to cut the strap?

Yeah, I notched the strap to 18mm, but the tricky part is that you actually have to notch the "back" side if the strap more than that so you can get the springbar tool in there if you want to remove the strap.

To do that, I used a razorblade and cut at a slight angle from the backside.

I'll try to get some pics of the backside later.

obviously the color is all wrong, but this would look great with a MB or DB, which I'm going to be sourcing shortly. :)
