GW-225A bezel on GW-205K (slight problem)

Hey Guys. Fitted my GW-225A band and Bezel on my GW-205k today (as the original strap finally snapped)
Looks really good i think (although not as good as the Original colour scheme)

The problem is, with the new bezel fit, the "mode" button is really really difficult to push. It works sporadically, and when it does work it seems to go to "dive time" mode?

I tried removing and refitting it a couple of times to see if it would sit better, but it does the same thing every time. I then Refit the original bezel to see what happened, and it works fine. This suggests that its not me fitting it wrong, its actually the fit of the bezel?

Has anyone ran into similar problems before fitting a different bezel onto there watch? Is the moulding slightly different? is there anything i can do?

Is there a black bezel that will fit my 205k without problems (maybe the GW-200BC ? or 200MS ?) or are these as hard to source as the originals?

Any help would be appreciated (as always) ....... i dont want to fit my old dirty bezel with my lovely new band.... i do have a spare 205k band/bezel but are trying to keep those incase i sell the watch on

    thanks guys

Re: GW-225A bezel on GW-205K (slight problem)

I had that problem trying to fit a MS bezel on my 200-2. The bezel added too much friction to the button so the spring wouldn't push it out fast enough. This was the case on both the mode and adjust buttons. If I pushed the top above the button it worked OK, so it was pulling up on the button.
Wish I knew what to tell you the solution is. I wound up not really liking the MS bezel and geting a 200Z bezel instead. It works OK, but has the same problem if I try to put the aftermarket bullbars on it. I like it better without the bullbars right now, so things are fine.
I was considering taking some sandpaper to it and trying to very slightly enlarge the holes. Probably just needs a couple thou of material removed to work OK (or maybe a burr of some kind sanded/filed off).

Hmmmm, seems to be rectified (at least temporarily) at the moment. I wiggled the bezel around and switched the screws about and it seems to have worked. Happy Days

Awesome! Thanks! Wonder what that will go for

Whilst i'm thinking about it, would a gf-8250 band fit the 205k??? They look pretty much the same shape to me.
