    Obviously that was coming!!

So see the pics below, hopefully you can see the things I'm talking about and where my spring sits. Have you definitely got yours in the correct hole in the case?

I can't tell if the parts from the 3500 are identical to your 3000?

My factory spring is a lot shorter and also upside down, but only so because I forgot about it until I'd put the caseback on and couldn't be bothered to undo it all and take the module back out just for the spring!

You can see the foil I mentioned, which is on the steel section of the bezel.

The whole thing sits tight to the watch case which make the foil contact the spring.

    Hope this all helps mate?

I have no idea how it was still working but based on that alone I think it's got to be saved lol. The watch is still sat on the window sill charging.

I also wanted to comment on this, it wasn't the fact that the battery was making the watch work out of the drawer, it's just strong light on the solar panel, which can generate enough power by itself in bright light to run the module.

Not all functions but definitely enough for timekeeping mode.

The battery will be fine though, just needs a loooong time now to charge fully.

Cheers for this pics, Im definitely using the right hole for the spring but mines much too long. The foil tab definitely not there though although after seeing your pic it looks familiar. I'm guessing it came off the last time i cleaned it out. I'll get a new bezel ordered and fingers crossed it comes with it, maybe i could cobble something together if not.

And about the battery, It must have still been working as the time was more or less correct. Unless it's seen more light than i realise, but to be honest i thought the watch was long gone.
