    GW-5000-1JF vs. GW-5600J Strap Length?

How does the strap length on the GW-5000-1JF compare to a GW-5600J?

I have a strong interest in the GW-5000 but wonder if the strap is long enough for me? I have the 5600J, it's long enough for my 8" wrist, and fits well.

However: I tried a DW5600E, and a DW6900MS and both were _too_ short.

    Thanks...

archer, the strap on the GW-5000 is the same length as on the DW-5600E.

    Rats ! ...

I was hoping it would be the size of the GW5600J.

I have both an E and a J and the E is too short.

The other solution which would work, but drive the price really high, would be to install the metal bracelet like the GWM5600BC comes with. But at nearly $100 delivered to me in the USA, the final price of watch and bracelet would be over $450. One that is hard to justify. Too bad the GW5000B, does not come with the bracelet.

I just bought a new GW-6900BC-1JF from Japan (it's functions are nearly identical) and it was just $218 with the bracelet included. I guess Casio keeps the price high on the GW5000 series to insure a certain degree of exclusivity.

    Cheers...
