    GW 5000

I have a chance to buy a used in mint condition Gw 5000 no box or paper work, just the watch for 185 dollars. My question is would you buy it?

If I didn't already have one, yes, unless I wanted one to collect.

YES, Def. GW-5000 is not a special edition model. Box and packaging is pretty standard and it doesn't stay in box.
You will wear it all the time. btw, that price is unheard of. You are very very lucky.

If it's a real GW-5000 and not some kind of Franken watch made up of 5000SL parts and 5000 resin/strap ... sure, I'd snap it up.

    Are you convinced it's genuine?

Yes. I'm sure it's genuine. It's from a reputable knife dealer. I've seen pictures of it.

True but the JDM box is very cool to own if compared to a standard international tin.
Anyway who cares price seems excellent so, get it, packaging doesn't matter in this case.

    $185 is a steal.

Yup, I'd buy that in a heartbeat. Much better than the $400 I just paid for mine. Post pics once you get it!

Well I bought it. The guy I bought it from said he's shipping it today. Hopefully I'll have it Monday. I'll post a picture or two.
