Is the GW-5000 about to be discontinued?

I just downloaded the latest main catalogue on the Japanese website and the GW-5000 is not shown.

    カタログ ダウンロード - [G-SHOCK.jp]

It's still shown on the website, but not in the catalogue.
    G-Shocks - GW-5000, DW-5030C, GW-6900 & DW-5600E.
Chronographs - Heuer Monaco 73633B, Tissot Quickster & Festina 9472.

Wish list - DW-5025D, DW-5000ML, DW-5700ML, vintage Heuers, Tudor Heritage Chrono, Seiko SBDC 001 "Sumo" & Stowa Prodiver.

    Owned in the past -
    GWF-1000, GW-M5600BC, GW-M5600, G-5500TS-8 & Seiko 7016-5001.

Last time I talked with my agent from Japan, it is out of production. So grab one when you still can.

I bought and flipped GW-5000, but in the end I kept two, basically because the superb build quality, as well as the "infinitely" many bezel/band options for this model

I wonder what they will come out with next... I hope they do a GW-5000 with an all titanium case and screwback. Sort of like a super tough and lightweight version of the GW-5000. They can use the same carbon fiber technology as in the new mudman for the band. On the outside, it would appear as any regular G-shock square, but it would secretly be near-indestructible and light.

titanium on a gw5000 won't be necessary, IMHO, GW5000 weight just perfect, titanium is NOT always better than SS anyway. However titanium on the GWF-1000 will be attractive to me, of course, not with a price like GWF-T1000

That would be quite cool. It would be good if they brought out some more 5000 models, a bit like what they are doing with the Frogman. There has only been 2 GW models and no new DW models since the 25th anniversary models. I'm sure they would sell, as screwback 5000s seem to be popular / sought-after.

Not necessary, but it would still be good to see. I'd also like to see a non DLC coated one at a cheaper price. Basically, I'd just like to see more screwback 5000s whether it be different materials, colours, finishes, LCD, etc.

Interesting and slightly disheartening if this turns out to be the case.

    For what is worth:
When I bought mine, I asked for a price quote from Katsu, he replied that it was no longer available/discontinued. Surprised by this since it was available at Chino's web page, so I got mine from him. This is just a month or so since.

Wow, That's been a well kept secret. I've never noticed this on g-shock.jp before, or seen any reference to it on here. Thanks for pointing it out Sedi.

I still think that the writing might be on the wall for the GW-5000 though, due to not being in the latest catalogue and the other comments above. I'm hopeful that it won't be the last though, as 5*00 screwbacks are definitely what I like the most.
