    GW-5000 battery and synching issues

My GW-5000 went to low battery staus from lack of light (winter in Canada, wearing under cothes, etc). That's what I assume happened, I can't get it back to high battery, after alot of exposure to sun and lights. Also it stopped synching. Any advice? How much light does it take to get to high battery status again, and does it need to be on high battery to synch? Any advice, tips would be greatly appreciated.

Here's the manual for that module. It shows how many hours under various light conditions are required to get from Level 2 (Med) to Level 1 (High). Note that High means that there is still some way to go until it's fully charged.

The watch is allowed to sync in both High and Med charge conditions, so I'd say that's a different issue altogether.

If the power levels drop down to low I believe it will prevent the watch from syncing to preserve the battery life as long as it can.

As for getting it charged up, it can take quite a while, especially if you are in the Northern latitudes in winter when the sun is not really getting too strong - try leaving it sitting facing outwards in a south facing window for a couple of days and see how that helps.

take the watch off for at least 1 day. leave it by a window in day time and by a light at night time that should bring it back to medium.

It seems that some G models won't sync if battery is low.

It doesn't just seem The manual says syncing will occur at Med or High, but not Low.
