if you look at the 9th picture down, it shows an upcoming GW-5000c, and it looks exactly like the dw-5000c-1a. what's the difference? anybody know?

without opening the link i would say: nothing. there are different extensions, depending on the market where its sold, etc.

I don't think that it should be regarded as "upcoming". The text next to it seems to say "First-generation G-Shock" to complement the GW-M5600 (not exactly new as well) on display next to it. Without seeing the context of this particular display, I'd assume that this is of a "historic evolution" type.

It is a DW-5000C. On the card next to it says 'micro-light'.

    Shame, I'd like a non-DLC DW-5000-alike GW-5000.

Been thinking about that too - maybe it's possible by taking a module from one of the upcoming resin-cased multiband-6 5600s and then putting it in a DW-5000SL case - the only problem with that are the solar panels that are fixed to the inside of the case . But the case of the GW-5000 and DW-5000SL or DW-5025 are the same so the module should fit. Now if someone finds a way to get the solar panels out and put them in the new case...

I wonder if the DW-5000C will be a screwback?
Experience is what you end up with when you didn't get what you wanted.

Looks to have a flat bezel like the original 5600c...

    Hi,
you should read the thread more carefully . The one on the left is an original vintage DW-5000C, as 'David S' already pointed out.

    Re: GW-5000c?

    I think we're more likely to see a GW-6600 than a GW-5000C.
