I think my Gulfman is the first hydro in the world.
Please see the shots(sorry low quality).
1000 WR, high-low temperatures resist, anti.corrosion...
What do you think about this mod?
Great, like always !!!
now you can write a new manual too
A great modification to a great looking watch!
Does the hydro mod make a noticeable difference to the weight of the watch?
I'll be interested to know if it still syncs the time ok.
Could you explain exactly has been done to the watch? It looks like the watch is full of water but that makes no sense to me. Explain please!!
It's always sunny in Boise!!
It has been filled with silicone, mineral, or other kind of dielectric oil. The thinking is that since the oil inside the watch does not compress and/or expand like air, it should be impervious to leaks at any reasonable depth of water. And a side effect often is that you can read the display at crazy angles.
Rusty: The watch is changed from OEM configuration, so it's not clear if the radio sync will work as designed. I don't know that the oil will or will not affect that, which is why I asked.
