    GW-M5600-1ER braclet?

    Hi!

I really like the GW-M5600-1ER but am not to keen on the strap. The metal braclet version of it looks good (the one with the negative display) but I prefer the normal displays.

Being in the UK, I'm finding it hard to track down either to have a proper look at (the watch hut through amazon is selling the GW-M5600-1ER for £64 delivered - better price than tiktox).

I'm thinking of getting the stock GW-M5600-1ER, and then hunting down the black braclet and combining the two.

Can anyone think of why this wouldn't work (and any ideas of where I could get a black braclet).

    Thanks!

It will work. The parts are interchangeable. The band can be sourced from CasioSalesAndService for about $90 before shipping. It's the same band from the GW-5600BCJ.

Honestly though, at that price, you're better off just buying both versions of the watch, then making what you want (by combining/switching parts), then selling the one you don't (make sure to tell others what you've done when you sell it).

Having got that watch, I'd love to get hold of one too so if you do find a source of the GW-5600BCJ or want to share import fees on a bracelet, let me know

Even though the band on GW-5600BCJ looks like it may fit the GW-M5600 it actually doesn't. One of the lugs is the right size the other is shaped slightly different. I have the same dilemma. I'm not too keen on the original resin strap of the M5600. I've tried adapters, which aren't very secure. So the only solution is to get the GW-M5600BC and use the metal bracelet on that.

That's very handy to know, cheers

The trouble is that if you bought that watch, would you really want to take the strap off. Is it possible to get in touch with Casio UK and buy a bracelet does anyone know?

I've contacted Casio's Spare Parts in UK. They don't have the bracelet strap available, I was told it can be ordered from Japan which can take 4-8 weeks!

    Thanks for all the replys!

Pretty new to the g-shocks, so im not familiar with all the names and codes just yet - learning fast though!

I'm thinking of just getting the bracelet version, but am open to suggestions.

as for getting the bracelet version, i need to find a cheaper source than casio uk : http://www.casioatcarnaby.co.uk/Sear...ame=GW-M5600BC

    (they're asking £11,400!!!!)

Wow ! I know we tend to pay more over here in the UK but that's ridiculous !

More than three Rolexes - yes, that's pretty steep...
I used to list my watches here until I realised it ruined people's Google searches...
