GW-M5600 - much improved Waveceptor reception?

    Here's a thing.

I always wear a watch to bed, whatever I've had on during the day. In the past, with Waveceptor watches, I've never managed a sync overnight unless I took the watch off and placed it on a window ledge on the right side of my apartment. (Despite being high up, my windows are heat reflective and this inhibits many radio transmissions like DAB and Waveceptor.)

Now last night I stumbled into bed with my GW-M5600 on, and this morning the watch reports a sync at 5am - definitely a first.

Didn't I read somewhere on here that the antenna in this watch has been relocated? I wonder if there have been other improvements to boost Waveceptor reception?

Which waveceptor? When I've nodded off at night with mine on in the past they usually got the signal at night. My MTGs, GW-500/530, 1500, and my GW-5600.

Normally it is not easy to get a strong signal behind my computer, but my watch got the level 3 reception very easy. It might otherwise also be the fact there is no wind and a very clear sky. This way radiowaves can travel much farter.

But if I'm right Seamaster, didn't you live near the Anthorn transmitter?

    Cheers,

    Sjors

About 70 miles away, Sjors. Now that you mention it, of course, being so much nearer to Anthorn than I was to Rugby, might account for the difference.

In my defence, I haven't owned a Waveceptor watch since the days when the transmitter was located at Rugby. But having posted before about how the move to Anthorn might improve reception for me, I should have figured it out!!!!

Ha ha Seamaster, don't worry, we all have our good and bad days... I just read the post of the Fake stussy. I bid on one about a week ago. Now I see I have earlier reacted on a post of the same fake Stussy It probably comes with age, ha ha

    Cheers,

    Sjors
