    GW-M5600 Vs GW-5000

In the 2008 the appears the "new" GW-M5600 but in the next moth the present year reedited the classic screwback 5600 case with waveceptor multiband 6....Now...What is your opinion about the GW-M5600?, great or not compare the new model...

Hard to compare the 2, since the only similarity they have is only in appearance. The GW5K's got more under the hood (namely the multiband 6 and screwback), but it also costs a great deal more.

    Simply an evolutionary process...

The new model looks better and works better. The King is dead, long live the King.
I used to list my watches here until I realised it ruined people's Google searches...

Not at $400--no King will live on my wrist.
Buying more watches does not buy you more time.

    One word, awesome!

Casio is making my dream come true. Bad news for my wallet though!

Now,if only Casio would put sapphire crystal on it, and maybe DLC coated stainless steel band? What about MR-G version, full titanium construction + DLC coating?

    Cheers,
    MountainMike

Sure thing, that'll be $8,000, plus tax and delivery.

    Re: GW-M5600 Vs GW-5000

sure on paper the GW-5000 seems better, but hypothetically speaking what if it turns out to be a bunk module like the G-5600/5700's had???

honestly the GW-M5600's havnt been out even a year yet, and the GW-5000 isnt out at all. so it seems to me that everyone is basing there descisions based on appearance, and supposed function?
mabye you should wait until one half of your competing watches are actually released and people have them before trying to compare them

we should ask this question again in 10 to 20 years to be truly objective. thats just my opinion, but honestly the title should just have read
"how many of you are hyped up about a watch that isnt out yet, i know i am!"
"Far out, in the uncharted backwaters at the unfashionable end of the western spiral arm of a galaxy, lies a small unregarded yellow sun. orbiting this at a distance of roughly 92 million miles
is an utterly insignificant little blue-green planet whose ape-descended life forms are so amazingly primitive that they still think digital watches are a pretty neat idea."
