Awesome Ottovonn! Glad that I was able to help. The matte bezel and CF strap combo looks interesting. I might give that a try sometime as I also find the CF strap comfortable too.

So Marrin’s video mentioned that the buttons are titanium. I never realized that and if it’s true, it makes this watch even more awesome. I just assumed that they were stainless steel unlike the bezel and case back screws which look different than normal stainless steel screws.

I've heard similar things about the buttons. I'm not sure myself, but it'd be awesome if it were confirmed.

I have a question about the spring bars. Since installing and reinstalling straps, I've noticed that the tips bend very slightly when I pull the straps upward (i.e., straightening the straps as if laying the watch flat). Is this normal? The spring bars don't pop off though.

So tonight I decided to swap the bezel and strap on my S5600 for a GW-M5610BC Bezel and GW-5000 band.

I don't know if it's because my wrist is between sizes (eg. one hole on the band is quite snug while one hold down and it's a tad loose) but I don't find the GW-5000 band to be as comfortable on this particular watch. The stock configuration was way more comfortable to me.

I might try a regular 5600 band to see if that fits better. If that doesn't help, I'll try the same configuration as Kevio and install a Combi.

That was my same experience! I had initially installed a spare GW-5000 strap on mine, but found myself longing for the stock strap. It's weird, but it didn't feel as comfy. The 5000 strap feels better on, well, the 5000

Currently, I prefer the stock carbon strap, but I'm curious about your impression on the combi on the S5600. Let us know what you think and please show pics if you decide to experiment.

I was too tired and the light was too bad to take pictures tonight.

I will definitely take pictures of the current set up and then pictures of the next set up I plan on trying.

Just to make sure, I might just wear it all day tomorrow with the GW-5000 band.

Kept both my 5000 and my S5600 stock. Like them best that way. My son agrees as he likes to borrow them.

Put my combi bracelets on the 5600BB and the 5750E.

Have 2 extra spare 5000 straps. Saving them for the next opportunity.

Re: GW-S5600-1JF "Featherlight Square" Appreciation thread! Please share user experiences, pics and

So after a long week of waiting mine arrived today.

    First impressions:

    1. Somehow the watch and the CF-strap form a ring that seems to touch the wrist only at some points and give a feeling of "nothing". Just like floating above/over the skin. Totally different to any of the other watches I ever uwned.
    2. Of course I already tried 5610 bezel and 5000 band. I don't know why (theoretically 5600 and 5000 have the same screen design/texts) but IMO the matte resin does not look as good as it looks on 5000. Also, probably because of different lug to lug distance, the 5000 band didn't feel right for me. So it was back to stock combination after 30 min. Maybe I'll try composite bracelet after a while.
    3. I always liked how CF changes optically when changing the viewing angle (maybe because of my motorcycle hobby but this material always fascinated). Even the texts on the strap look like they have to be there.

All in all: Otto, you were right! It's the first glossy watch I like. And it is so different compared with my 5000 that both have their own place.

I think it all comes down to wrist size. The GW5000 strap on this watch fits me really well and because of the light weight, just disappears. I also find this watch really comfortable with the combi as it balances out the weight of the watch. With the GW5000 strap, the middle hole is perfect. Not too tight and not too loose, while on the actual GW5000 watch it's a situation where I'm between holes and is either too loose or too tight.

Just because this thread needs more pictures:
