Does Anybody Really Know What Time It Is?
Sorry for being off-topic now, but as there are so many square-experienced guys here:
Is there a DW-5600E bezel available that's jellyblack like the S5600 bezel? I really would like to try this style with the GW-5000's DLC case.
Thanks for the suggestion Otto!
So back to topic, because rare in the US means not existing in Europe most of the time and I don't wanna pay our stupid import taxes (up to 25%). GW-5000 is good as it is
Any of you addicts own this one?

A very cool square G. I just bought mine, just under $200 with shipping.
For me there were three to consider, the basic 5610, the 5000, or this S5600. I own a nice collection of mechanical watches so I'm used to stainless cases with screwed case backs, but the 5000's inclusion of that feature doesn't draw me to it nessassarily. This watch will be for tennis, hiking, and cycling, so the more top heavy 5000 went to the bottom of the list. Functionally, there is very little to justify paying double for the S5600 over the 5610 and its close cousins. A tougher fancier looking strap and a titanium back are the main two, but to me this is the Richard Mille of square G's. I could buy 1000 of these or a Mille. The absurdity of that is hysterical, particularly since the G can handle a lot more abuse.
I don't plan to baby this what so ever. a) that's not what it was designed for and b) I'm not a flipper and c) it is a great beater and not all that expensive.
I also happen to prefer the cosmetics of the S over the other two, and I like the fact that I am in the minority in sellecting this G over all others.
ps; Any billionaires out there who would like to give me their spare Mille, p.m. me.

Hi Etherbull my beater is a G5600E 2-3 grams heavier than yours , I agree that for bike riding a light watch makes sense .
Badger, I like that one a good bit better than the 5610 also. One design element that I like a lot better on the S5600 though is how the band is formed and joins at the bezel. It is unique. No doubt the G5600E is a better bang for the buck.
Sorry double post
