    GW2000 Vs GW 3000

Please bear with me as my photo skills are not very good.

I purchased a GW 3000 last week and really liked it. Today I took delivery of a GW 2000 for my brother and I preferred the GW 2000 immediately. He saw them both side by side and liked the GW 3000 better - so we have swapped!

My wrist is 7.75 - 8.00" depending on temp' and here are the 2 watches side by side. The GW 3000 is noticebly bigger.

    GW 3000 on its lonesome.

    And the GW 2000

A few years back the GW 2000 would have been a 'big' watch and it still is in my book, it's just that some watches have got even bigger. Maybe too big?

I thought the GW 2000 would have been too small for me but it looks just right to me.

Nice watch and I am happy with the swap!

Thanks for the side-by-side. I own the GW-2000 and I've seen the GW-3000 in stores, but I didn't realise the 3000 is that much larger (wasn't wearing the 2000 in the store)
    Cheers,
    Micha

I know the GW-3000 was big, but on your comparison pic it is HUGE! Even I didn't realize that.

    Cheers,

Wow that 3000 is really noticeably bigger than the 2000.

I was up for the 3000BD but lost out on the deal I was looking for...then I wore my 2000BD over the weekend and decided I didn't need another analogue G Shock, although I really like the look of the 3000BD.

Anybody want to talk me out of the PRW-5000T I decided to get instead ?

Anyway - hope you are and your brother enjoy your new watches. He can use his stopwatch to see if it take 24 mins for you to realign your watches hands :D :D :D

At 50mm diameter the GW 3000 is a pretty big watch. Tbh it didn't look too big till the GW 2000 turned up.

It's ok for my brother as he is 6' 2" and 17 stone of muscle!

I had trouble getting the GW 2000 set up tbh - I didn't realise that there was a difference between Home City and Home Positions and I got in a frag because the second time zone was 3 hours back from where it should have been Vs London time.

Why Casio don't put Home Positions at the front of the manual instead of near the back is a mystery to me.

Anyway everything is chugging away nicely now.

PS: the GW 2000 alarm is a whole lot louder than the GW 3000 too.

    that depends!

if it's the look you're after, go for it. not quite my style but it certainly looks nice.

if it's the functions you're after don't go for it. serious ABC watches is not exactly casio's strongest domain, competitors offer much better products IMO.
