i don't like the 5 eyes for received transmitter on the gw9000. fortunately for me, that's a motif that's faded from recent designs. the gw6900 is a newer watch that has the latest receiving technology and an iconic shape. it's available in black, yellow, and white. i'd choose the gw6900.

for the display, i would think the GW6900 has better use of the real estate on the LCD, since the 3 eyes actually showing helpful info and it will show date and day on the current time mode

    which one to get?
    • if you want mud resistant case, go with mudman.
    • if you have smaller wrist size, the mudman may actually fits better than the GW6900 (just my experience, YMMV)
    • GW6900 also got 24hr CDT but Mudman got 1000hr STW
    you decide

I prefer the GW-6900 display by far and I like the general look of the watch.

I'm also a big fan of the GW-9010 display for legibility & crispness.

Pairing the GW-6900 with a bracelet from the GW-M5600BC is a great combination for larger or smaller wrists.

GW6900. I dont like having to push a button to toggle between day and date on the GW9000.

Thats a tough one, I have 2 of the GW-9000 and have the GW-6900 on the way, I love the 9000's but I've got a feeling the GW-6900 may be a new favorite!

GW-6900 is a much better watch for me.
Day and date displayed at the same time and sits just a bit bigger on the wrist.

In fact, thats the only way I could see an advantage with the 9000. The GW-9000 'shoulders' do sit out over the edge of the wrist but nowhere near as large as the GW-6900.
