    GW9000A or GW6900?

Which one would you choose if you could only take one? Consider band, display, versatility (work and play) and functions in your decision. If you have both, please post any comments and/or pictures comparing the two.

Exclude the multi-band 5 versus 6 issue in your decision I'm more likely to go to Europe or Japan for a vacation rather than China.

I'm 6'3" with 7.5-8" wrist size and am comfortable wearing GX-56's, pathfinders, muddies, and Ecozillas without difficulty of them looking overly huge.

I'm looking to purchase one of these watches and would like to make an informed decision with your help. Let the games begin!

With a 7.5-8" wrist, I'd go with the 6900. I like the 9000 better, but even I think it's a lilttle small and I only have a 6.5" wrist. For size alone I say the 6900. Other than that, the 9000 is better in every way.

Like Tsip said, the 6900 will look better because it's a bit bigger. I personally like the the 6900's style; perfect size for my 6.5" wrist.

I vote for the 6900... although I still intend to get the Mudman eventually, especially the tan/beige one...

Surprisingly, my wife also noted that the Mudman looks a bit too small on the wrist...

I know that everyone says that the Mudman's buttons are really stiff to press, but I also find that the small metal buttons on the 6900 aren't easy to access as well... gotta use my nails most of the time.

The poll is closed already? Would vote for the 6900. It's a classic and I like the different colors available, like the GW-6900F-7.

    Hi,
    a little overview considering features:

    GW-9000
    - 1000 hr STW
    - 60 min timer - current time shown
    - 5 alarms - alm1 setable as snooze or one-time
    - world-time

    GW-6900
    - 24 hr stopwatch
    - 24 hr timer
    - 4 alarms + 1 snooze (currne time shown)
    - world-time

comparison on the wrist between Mudman and DW-6600 which is the same size as a GW-6900 (at least in diameter) - ignore the Riseman in the middle:

Hi. I have both models and I vote for GW6900. Mudman is quite comfortable as well, a little bit smaller and very well constructed (probably stronger) and with bigger but stiffer buttons, but it is not solar nor multiband radio controled. So, I prefer for my everyday to use the GW6900. Perfect fit in my wrist also. The strap keeper (or holder, sorry, I don't know how do you call it in english) fits better and does not move or leaves from the end of the strap due to de design indeed. Even strap is shorter, I prefer this to the GW9000 by far. Generally looking on GW6900 is more as "plastic" than in the Mudman, but anyway, I still vote for the classic but updated functional GW6900.
