    GW9200 Riseman flashing "rec"

Just got my first ever G-Shock today, the Riseman 9200. The very first thing I noticed is the ever blinking 'rec' to the left of the time. I cannot get it to stop and it's driving me mad! Can someone please tell me how to make it stop, I've looked in the manual (says something about altimeter mode, but nothing as to how to get the flashing to stop).

    Thanks!

Hi I own my Riseman since last week ;)

Perhaps I can help: In the Alti-Mode you are able to start the stopwatch which is independent from the "normal" stopwatch. If the Alti-stopwatch is running in timekeeping the "REC"-symbol is flashing.

Try the following: Change to Alti-mode and check if the stopwatch is running, if yes press "start" to stop it. Now the flashing-symbol should be gone.

    Hope this will work.

Greetings and congrats to your Riseman,

Thanks. I worked on this for at least half an hour using the manual but no luck.

Yes it was the hidden chronograph for the altimeter.
