    Question GW9400-1 ... relative altimeter readings...

    Is it possible to measure only the elevation change, not the actual elevation?

    No, it isn’t really possible to display only the change and not the actual elevation.

    The number circled in the photo is the cumulative elevation change. To reset it push the bottom right button.



    Remember that the altimeter on these watches is not really accurate, at all. They “guess” the altitude from the barometric pressure. So, if the pressure changes, the elevation changes even if the watch didn’t move.
