    GWF-D1000

Is it just me or have prices skyrocketed on these. I bought one a year or so ago for around $600 new from a reputable eBay retailer. Sold it and regret not having it. Now I canít find one new for under $850 (got the itch to get another). Is it an ebb and flow and the price will drop or am I SOL.

I am just curious if anyone else is following the price.

Which color are you looking for? From what I see locally, the prices have been dropping.

Looking for the standard black with red writing. But I can be patient I am just curious as I did not expect them to peak quite so high.

I admit I like the coast guard edition, not enough for the price. But it is sweet.

To be honest I paid around 8500 HKD ( over 1000 USD ) for the GWF-D1000-1 right after the release in June 2016. It was the first G Shock Frogman with water depth meter, compass and thermometer; so yeah the premium was absolutely plausible. However after awhile the prices went down - surprisingly quite a lot for almost all brand new D1000 Frogman models. I heard, although canít verify, that Casio had ceased the production of the GWF-D1000-1 model. That could also explain the price increase if confirmed! Good luck and happy hunting

    GWF-D1000

Hunted and poached a used (mint with box and papers 6 month old) one for 625. Took a little pride hit (shouldnít have sold it) but will be on its way.

Guess I just thought the good times were here to stay for this one, and I could grab another new one for that original price I found it for.

About $850-950 is the going rate right now for a 1, anything special and it sky Rockets.

    Re: GWF-D1000

DD very interested to hear you say it may have been discontinued. Certainly here in the UK they seem to have utterly dried up. Wonder why Casio might have deleted it? I like mine but I didn't find the bezel easy to swap in fact I think I may have bent a pusher then hopefully bent it back but that's another story. I'm always hoping for a new Frogman model in a large size or perhaps an updated GX-56 but I accept these may not happen soon or ever. I'd like to scoop up a GWF-1000 magma model but at the moment too many other projects need cash spent on them...
