    GWM5610-1 Glass swap

    Hi all,

I recently picked up a GWM5610-1 and was thinking about swapping the glass out with the printed glass from the GW-M5610-1. Has anyone done this? Anything else I will need to get besides the printed glass? Any info would be appreciated.

It might help to know which models you're actually talking about -- the only difference between those two models is the addition of a hyphen.

If the models in question use the same bezels, they PROBABLY use the same crystals:

If you're swapping crystals, it's probably not a bad idea to change the "packing/glass" as well: Casio GWM5610-1 Parts and Accessories

Sorry about that, it would appear that I left off some of the model number. I want to swap the glass from this one:

If you have the parts this is a simple swap.

    Re: GWM5610-1 Glass swap

    Hello there :)

All the variants of the gwm5610 have the solar panel glued to the glass so this mod isn't possible. You can purchase the glass & packing for the glass from pacparts, but
I have yet to find a vendor selling a solar panel.

If somehow you were able to do the mod the seal/water resistance would never be as good as factory.

    Hope this info helps!

Ah, that changes things, I would much rather maintain the water resistance. Thanks for the info.
