Had you known This Forum Before Had G-Shock Watch? Or...

Had you known This Forum Before Had G-Shock Watch? Or after had a G-Shock, then had found this forum?

To me, I bought my first G-Shock on the year 2003 (MT-G 900) online at top-one. I really like this watch and try to buy similar one. On the way surfing I found this forum on the same year.

Everybody is different, how about yours?

I collected G-Shock's before this forum.

I found it when a buyer on EBay had a link to it on his "about me" page.

I then followed the link to G-Peopleland, and in turn WUS old forum.

    I think that's correct.

That buyer was Mr. Sjors, although he may have had a link on his email to his site.

Can't actually remember exactly that far back.

It was alike a little club in those days and many members have since departed.

Their was a really funny guy from Indonesia or Malaysia living in Japan.

(Sorry Resin.. Always get confused with "There and Their")

Boy did he post some funny photos:-D

Antonis from Cyprus is a fantastic guy, and left as he was busy with his studies.

Only a handful of the original boys left now

    Ha Ha, Asuoab,

I think I'm the only one that can say that the forum found me.... No actually that's not complete the truth. I found out a link to my website via my statistics. It's funny if people you don't know talk in third person about you, so I signed in and replied on the post, partially out of curiosity. I believe Ron Engels wrote that thread in the pilots and military forum. I had only posted on a few Japanese fora, but that very time consuming, since my Japanese isn't very good

Ernie mailed me I think within a few hours if I liked to moderate this G-Shock forum. To be totally honest I wrote him that I would like to do it, but thought nobody would be interested in plastic watches. I went the next day on a short vacation. When I returned I noticed people already found the new forum and now it's one of the biggest on WUS. Who had ever expected that, among legendary names as the Breitling forum, the Poljot forum and Rolex forum.... That were for me BIG names.

    Cheers,

    Sjors

Re: Had you known This Forum Before Had G-Shock Watch? Or...

I actually had 2 G's before I found WUS. Was looking for another work watch and was searching some sites when I came across this site. I had originally joined last year but my daughter was born and that was the end of free time for awhile(wouldn't trade it for the world and all the G's in it). So when a had a little time one night I was going thru my email and came across the registration confimation email I got when I first joined. Went to log in and there was the notice about the big crash so I had to register again. Sorry I got a little long winded there:oops: .

    A little OT for Ozzie;
Sorry to hear about the 1500 too . Sending PM.

    Hi Brian:

No, I got it after all that
First I was told by the seller that it's sold, then I was told later it wasn't:-D

Thanks once again Brian I really appreciate your help:thanks

By the way, $50.00 shipped is a ridiculously cheap price you would think considering it's newB-)
I'm excited and love getting G-Shock's in the mail

Will post some good photos when it arrives

Re: Had you known This Forum Before Had G-Shock Watch? Or...

I had a few collection of watches before i know this forum. For a long time i go to "chronomania.net" but this forum speaks only about Rolex, Jaeger Lecoultre; IWC..Impossible to speak about my Casio's or my few automatic watches (Tissot, Swatch, and 5 or 6 Seiko). " Not enough expensive my son!!" And at the beginning of this week searching Casio pictures i find the link to gpeopleland and that's the beginning. A very great forum where you can speak about Casio of sure and everything else.
    cheers
