Casio has sponsored lots of sporting leagues and events around the world over the years.

They just put out some recent press releases about sponsoring a Formula 1 team, a Red Bull flying team, and the NY Yankees. G-Shock has sponsored lots of surfing events and other more "hip" competitions. I don't think they have the marketing budget for anything too crazy. There does seem to be a lot of paid placement in Hollywood movies though.

Casio just partnered with the New York Yankees. Here's the presser... http://www.casio.com/news/content/05...-B005966BB976/

This just happened. Actually sort of "breaking" news.

Beat me to it Riley. Dialup connection is slow tonite.

Sort of surprised to see Casio enter into a deal with the Yanks. Wasn't it Armitron that had a huge sign in the old Stadium? Didn't they also have the "official" first pitch time? Can't remember right off.

I know this might be a stupid question but the reason why I asked is because I'm only 23 and I know casio has been around for a long time.

I could be wrong, but I think since 1974.

Casio was the main time sponsor for the Fifa World Cup of soccer/Football in France 1998 and also in Germany in 2006. They released some limited Fifa WC G-Shocks at those events!

they sponsored david coulthard/red bull in formula 1, casio was on his helmet, and he also made commercials for edifice.

coulthard is a typical B+ driver, collects many points and never gets champion after many years. (others are gerhard berger, rubens barichello,...)

what i want to say is, a top driver wont chose casio as sponsor but tag heuer (raikkonen), or hamilton too

    regards,
