Have any of you put a protective cover over your glass?

Now that I have a riseman on the way (thanks faith and grace!) I want to preserve the screen as much as I can. Have any of you put like a cell phone screen protector on your screens? What about some thing called Zagg invisible protectors? Any success? or advice?

Zagg Invisible shields are good, but i've never used one on a watch. The mineral glass is pretty tough.

People have, and a search will probably find the threads that mention it.

Personally I wouldn't do it because it would seem like wearing plastic bags over my shoes.
I used to list my watches here until I realised it ruined people's Google searches...

I have used zagg invisible shields on many of my watches. I mostly have them on large open face watches, without a lot of bezel protection...such as my pathfinders. I would not worry about putting anything on the riseman. The mineral crystal is recessed pretty far. I don't have them on any of my G's. If placed on properly they look pretty good. The only time I can tell they are on is when I look at them from an angle in the light. There can be a slight "orange peel" texture effect. Hope that helps...

I'm not sure a G would appreciate this kind of treatment. It's like John Rambo holding an umbrella.

Thanks for the feedback guys. I guess I was wondering if it would have any effect on the solar capabilities. Since the glass is pretty recessed, I don't see it being vulnerable enough to put a protective film over.

Me neither...but I have considered them for a Pathy that was intended for rough field conditions.

Doubt it would have any significant effect on solar charging.

My Suunto Observer isn't sapphire nor recessive,
so I have a piece of transparent vinyl on the crystal.

Never felt compelled to. The G-Shocks I've owned have been very durable and resistant to scratches and the like. I have a seven year old G2900 that still does not have any scratches on the crystal.
