Having multiple models of G provides better strap fit

Today I was going to wear my GD-100, but the 4th hole from the tail end of the strap was too loose on my wrist and the 5th hole was too tight. My G-7900 on the 5th hole fit perfectly, equivalent to 4-1/2 on the GD-100. Having different models of G to choose from allows me to get a comfortable fit at any time, rather than one that's too tight or too loose. It's a side benefit of having several different models of G.

Of course, some different models are not different at all with respect to strap fit -- my GD-100, GD-120 and GA-100 being identical in this regard. But all of my others are different physical designs.

I find that strap fit varies at times. Depends on activity (and level of), ambient temp, my hydration status. Now I’m wearing the GWG at the third hole from the end. This is where I usually wear it. Sometimes when chilled, and in cool ambient temp, I have to wear it on the fourth hole up or it’s to mobile.

Exactly. Sometimes my GD-100 fits perfectly on the 4th hole and sometimes on the 5th hole, but today neither one provided a good fit.

I don't know anything about straps, but I wanted to say that those are two great-looking pieces.

I had the same issue. So, I put Zulu straps on them. Problem solved.

On my GWG 1000, I wear it on the 3rd hole from the lug (small wrists!), but sometimes, on a 'fat' day, I would move it to the 4th. However, on my bracelet watches which are the majority, they all fit well all the time - weird!

I tend to wear all my Watches with a little play in them. My GMT has a jubilee bracelet, and I wear it with enough play that I can ‘jiggle’ it down a bit. On those times where my wrist tissue expands to tighten up the bracelet, it is a PITA for you can simply loosen it like a strap Watch. Usually the matter doesn’t last long, and it really isn’t the end of the world. I think it a normal thing, and it’s just part of a guy wearing a Watch.

Rolex has a GlideLock clasp on some of their newer models, which allows on-the-fly micro adustment of the size. Some Casios have a similar feature. This is a great idea IMO.
