Heading to Bangkok, any Casio treasures I should be on the lookout for?

I'm headed to Bangkok next week and thought I'd ask my fellow WUS friends if there's a model specifically found in the Thailand area and if there's a place I could find some good deals.

    Anyone have any suggestions?

    :thanks

From memory, there are quite a few outlets that sell Gs in the MBK Shopping Mall - you'll have no bother finding it - it's huge!

I dont know how much I would spend though - not sure what the record on fakes is like. If you're not sure, dont buy!

Again from memory, prices in the malls were a good bit cheaper than UK retail.

Definitely do beware of fakes in Bangkok/Thailand. If the prices are too good to be true, then its probably a fake.

It's a real shame to get confirmation of this, although not unexpected.

Thanks for the tips guys! I'll see what I can find.

    Anyone else?

If you're taking your wife / gilfriend then some of the fake purses and handbags are pretty good....

They will distract her while you browse for some real Gs

    You can try:-

    Winner Time
    7-8 2nd Floor Bonanza Mall
    Opp MBK
    10:30 - 20:30

Prices are slightly better than the best in Singapore. MBK have a lot of shop selling G-shocks. But they are quite crappy in terms of models. Have fun.

I'm interested as well, since I'm heading to Thailand this weekend and would like to know if there are any good watch deals in the area...

I was in BKK two weeks ago and the selection of decent Casios is dismal at the MBK. On the other hand, if you're in the market for a cheap digital it's like heaven on earth. The 6th floor food court is another kind of heaven! :) You can also score some fake of high end watches like Richard Mille, AP, etc.
Across the street, at the Siam Center, is a G-Factory complete with all of the latest models (or plenty of them anyway) at retail prices. No negotiation there. A short walk away is the Siam Paragon where you can browse the Patek store before picking up that Armani suit.
Interestingly, up here in the north of Thailand in Chiang Rai, I've found several shops selling old G-Shocks (DW-002, AW-550, DW-6700, DW-5600E), as new stock and at high prices, no deals available.
