Hello From NooB. Why is it so hard to find a new Frogman?

    Hi all -

Just signed up. I dig all the different forums and interests here. I haven't been into Gs in many years, but I'm coming back.

The new model Frogman in black looks sick, but I can't find them for sale anywhere in the states. Why so hard to find? Any leads?

    Gracias,
    Marc

From what I understand, the Frogman models have a limited distribution cycle. Many Frogman models are Japanese domestic market models only. They are also made in smaller production runs than other easier to find G-Shocks. My suggestion would be to keep your eyes out on eBay and the reputable Japanese G-Shock dealers that have websites. There are a bunch of great dealers that offer great customer service and the newest models. Be prepared to pay though. Generally the JDM releases are sold for more than the same watch if it's released in the US domestic market.

Due to the destruction in Japan, one of the factories that made some Frogman parts was destroyed. That is one of the reasons for the delay with the new models.

This was my thought as well.

If you live in the states, major Macy's retailers tend to carry them. I believe you can also purchase direct from gshock.com but both sources will charge you full retail

If you are ok with used, or slightly used, you can alsways find a nice variety off the Sales Forum here in the Private Sellers section.

Good luck with the hunt, that's part of the fun. Let us know what you find.

I had an Atomic Red Frogman for a week and due to financial reason I had to let go first. Not one day I don't miss it.
Cuz I have handle and loved it, I am very ok paying $750MSRP with no fuss but who is selling it at that price on eBay!?
I am still have few months to paying off my debt. Soon I'll get it back.
