Re: Hello To Our New Moderator Tribe125

Thanks, fellas. I was asked to consider it, thought about it for quite a while, and then said 'yes'.

Not sure I'm quite 'gentry' though... so this might be an appropriate time to say a bit more about myself.

I'm Alan Tribe, and I'm 51 years old. I live in Watford, a large but not particularly interesting town to the north of London. I originally hail from Kent, and hope to return there when I retire. If you look at a map, my home town is in the triangular bit of land that points at France. My wife and I also have a second home in Krakow, Poland (my wife's father came from that area) and we spend as much time there as we can.

I'm a psychiatric nurse by profession, but these days spend most of my time as a health service trainer on mental health law. My interests, apart from these curiously fascinating plastic watches, are music (jazz mostly) and hi-fi.

If anything is likely to catch my eye as a moderator, it will be bad manners or a lack of respect towards a fellow forum member. I also have a low threshold for 'the games people play', and after nearly thirty years in psychiatry can spot 'em a mile off!

    Best wishes to everyone!
I used to list my watches here until I realised it ruined people's Google searches...

    Hi Tribe -

The photos you once posted of Watford looked beautiful

My heart is half in the UK as my parents are both Brits and I spent much time over your way when I was young.

Now many of my first cousins live in all different places around the world.. A few In Canada, US, Australia, even Japan, and some have stayed on in the UK

It's certainly handy having two passports..

My wife was a psychiatric nurse at a hospital in Kyoto before we returned to Australia and boy was she tired everyday so we can undestand what you must go through.

It's always nice hearing about you and this is a good chance for other members to introduce, although maybe a new thread.

By the way, I didn't realize you were 51:-D

    Just goes to show...

Tax time here so shall spend my Sunday studying all the documents and attempting to fill out the muddle..

Have a great weekend Tribe and best wishes to you
