    Help with 2nd G-Shock?

I am currently looking to add a hard-use field watch to my collection and all roads seem to be leading me to a G-Shock. I already currently own one G-Shock MTG900DA-8V, but I am looking for something on a strap that would be a little more rugged. I have been looking for a while and have bounced from everything, but I think I finally have it narrowed down to two models. The G7900 in olive and the GW9000 or G9000 Mudman, seemed to have risen to the top, but I just am not sure which one. I am looking to stay right around a $100 or less for this second one, but I can already tell that I will probably be getting some more G-Shocks.

Would anyone have any recommendations one way or the other?

    Thanks
    -Patrick

I really like the G7900 it has the best of 2 G Shocks. the Moonphase and tidegraph of the Gulfman and the great dual stopwatch function of the G9000 in a larger G Plus several colors If you want a smaller G then maybe the standard mudman G9000 it wears smaller than the photos look.

do you need the tide graph and moon phase function? if so, then go with G7900 ...

else, do you need 24hr countdown timer? if so, then go with G9000 ...

else, do you want atomic function? if so, then go with GW9000 ...

if you don't care about the above criteria, then go with GW9000 ...

    well, that's just me

You're going to get the Tide and moon phase functions when you purchase the new frogman after you make this purchase :)

So go with the solar atomic Mudman

    Re: Help with 2nd G-Shock?

The moon graph would be nice, but it is not a huge selling point for me. I am trying to find a watch that I can wear when I am out in the field and nt really have to worry about it getting dirty or wet. I am also looking for something a little different than my other watches. I am also looking for something I could get away with wearing to work once in a while. My current collection Rolex Sub, Hamilton Linwood Auto, Citizen SkyHawk Black Eagle, and a G-Shock MTG900.
