    Help with band mod...

    Hi,
I just bought a GW-5510 and love this watch, but with one exception; the band.
I am not a fan of the writing/logo on the band.
I was wondering if anyone has tried removing writing on resin bands without damaging them. I want it to look like it was never there. I'm sure paint thinner would strip it right off, but it would surely disclolor the band. Not sure about goo gone tho. i'm afraid to experiment, as I don't have a back-up band for it.

    Thanks in advance!

Acetane or whatever it's called works. Also nail varnish remover works a treat.

Thanks. It doesnt discolor the resin at all? Acetone in my experience messes with plastics

Went down this road a long time ago with a mudman. I found no good solution. Nothing really worked fully or looked good.

    Thanks.
That's disappointing to hear. Oh well. I might buy the negative display version of this band, since the logo and writing looks more subdued with grey lettering.

Same here...I tried removing the 3229 numbers on a DW-5600MS band and nothing really worked for me.

If you're going to buy the other band anyway then give it a go. Some guy on the Seiko forum had good results removing the text from a bn0150 band...
