Help me find the right G Shock

    Greetings,

I set out to find myself a watch, but have quickly become overwhelmed! I am hoping for some help/suggestions.

    Here's my criteria:
    - vibrating alarm
    - digital
    - serves my purpose (see below)

    Purpose:
    - I want a watch that will improve my time management skills. I work in 90 minute spurts with 15 minute breaks, and I want a watch I can program to go off at the end of the 90 minutes, and then again at the end of the breaks. In practice, the alarms would go off at: 8am, 9:30am, 9:45am, 11:15am, 11:30am, 1:00pm, 2:30pm, 2:45pm, 4:15pm, 4:30pm, 6:00pm. Is there a better way to handle this than having a watch with 11 alarms? Maybe 90 minute stopwatch?? As long as I can program it quickly, I don't mind the idea of setting a stopwatch every time. I feel like there must be a better feature out there to handle this though...

Hopefully somebody can help me out and tell me what features I'm looking for, and better yet, which watches would have these features. Imagining I can find something in the $50-$175 range. I thought the GD350 looked nice, but don't see a solar version...

    Thanks!!

I recommend the GD350. It has 4 alarms and one snooze alarm, all of which either vibrate or beep with a flash. Plus you can start the countdown timer from the time screen with a single press of a button. It also vibrates if you set the hourly marker on.

They're not solar but the battery is nesnt to last 5 years or so.

The G-7510 also vibrates but is not solar and is an older model than the GD-350. I have both and the GD-350 is a better watch, and much easier to find for sale as well as having a choice of colors to choose from.

The GW-400 is solar and vibrates but is an older model that's hard to find

    Try this link

    G-SHOCK PERFECT SEARCH - ???? - G-SHOCK - CASIO

Selecting Tough Solar and vibration alarm shows only GW 400/410 series have these features. As mentioned above, it is out of production and it will be hard to fine one

the gw400 costs a fortune - so people buy it to collect, not for everyday work-out

where can you find replacement bezel when it's worn out

yes gd350 is the perfect match

Battery: CR2032 should be easy to find.. so no problem with it not being solar

Re: Help me find the right G Shock

Thanks for all the responses. The main thing I'm looking for isn't that the watch is solar, but rather has the capabilities to do the 90/15 alarms as described in the OP. I was hoping it'd be solar, because my current watch had battery die and I can't find a new battery for it.

Appreciate the suggestions! I'd like to continue soliciting opinions without having the solar aspect in there. I have purchased the GD350, but am not convinced it's really the watch I am looking for. The alarm functions I described are the absolute most important thing. I feel like there are features in watches besides the "alarm" that do what I describe. Can this be accomplished with chrono

Hi, it sounds like you want a watch with 2 timers. Any G-Shock will let you set a timer for the 90 minute spells but you'd need to time your 15 mins the old-fashioned way I think. Unless you can be bothered re-programming the timer all day long. Maybe you could set a 15 minutes vibration only timer on your phone?

A G-7700 might work for you, it has two countdown timers. After the first one finishes the second one starts automatically. It's not solar but takes care of your main requirement of two timers.
