Exclamation Help needed in finding out what my 1st G-Shock was!

I had a G-Shock as a kid, just 1, wasn't a collector or anything .. i loved that watch like crazy, hardly ever took it off.. bought it from a Casio store here, lasted a long time, i think around 5-6 years.. when it needed the 1st battery change i took it to casio service center they took ages to give it back, so the 2nd time i took it to a normal watch shop, they messed it up.. I started buy G-Shocks again in 2011..

I wanted to know what my 1st G-Shock was.. i tried looking for the watch, couldn't find it.. went through a ton of pics & found these to be the best-

It was Black, with a little grey in it, with red buttons..

I did some searching online.. i found this-

The watch kinda looks the same, the strap and the back is the exact same, but a different model.. i dont remember my watch saying fox fire tho, maybe it did, not sure.. the EL was a big red G.. I wore this watch in 1999,2000 but dont remember the year i bought it.

anyone know the model number of have a pic of the same watch?

any help would be appreciated, thanks!

The DW-002 is not very common, but is still obtainable on the used market from time to time. If I were you I'd keep my eyes peeled for it. Also, you said the watch shop you took it to "messed it up." What exactly did they do to it? Perhaps it is fixable.

not looking to buy one again, not really into collecting older models, just wanted to know the model no. of my 1st G..

the watch shop, opened it up, didn't seal it up properly, and when i went swimming, water got in.. i can't find it anywhere, have been searching for it, its either lost or mom chucked it.. not sure.
