Question Help needed with my GW-1500

I have worn a blue GW-1500 since my wife got it for me for my birthday in June. Recently, when I took it off, I noticed that the bezel was separating from the case at the 3 and 9 o'clock positions. I have not tried to tighten the screws myself because I have done that on another G-Shock and stripped the screws. So I thought I'd ask for some advice. Should I take it to a local jewer and have them do it or send it to Casio since it's still under warranty? Funny thing is my wife got me a black GW-1500 in January and it stopped the same day so I have no luck with this model. For the record, my GW-1500 says Japan on the back and not Japan Mov't Cased In Thailand. Thanks in advance,

    S.

    Hi Spill,

I'd say take contact or send it in to Casio since it is still under warranty. I just took a look at both of mine, I have both the black and the blue model as well, and both are fine. Although I do tend to wear mine mainly on the weekends, but that sounds kind of odd to me :-S .

    Brian,

Thanks, I figured as much. I just thought maybe there was another way. One that didn't require the watch being gone for a long time. I guess if it has to go on a trip, it has to go on a trip.

    Hey Spill,

I should have thought of this before. If it is still under warranty, maybe take it back to where the watch was purchased from and see if they might be able to replace it. Might be a way to avoid them from taking a long trip away from home :-D .

Sorry to hear of your bad luck with the 1500 spill. Two of them no less.

These type of problems you mentioned are purely coincidence of course, but still- score two more points for NON atomics.
