Confused Help needed on my watch module. Is it dying?

    Hi everyone,
I've been encountering some problem with my watch bought in 1999, Model Baby-G BGX-141.
I first found out last week that whenever I press the Light button, the display will go blank, and it needs multiple reset attempt to get it back to work again.
It seems to be running fine, until today when I tried pressing the Light button and it goes off again.

Almost certainly it just needs a fresh battery.

Display blanking on pushing the light button is a classic sign of this.

Your battery is dying. You'll need to get it replaced or do it yourself; it's really very easy. Here's a link that might be very useful:

Now that I think about it... the last time I changed the battery is on Oct 09... well, time to get to work
