    Question Help please! GR8900-1

I have owned a GR8900-1 for about 6 months now. It functions properly, has shown a constant charge level at H and is power save enabled - until an hour ago.

Here is the confusion... Part of my routine is a floor exercise that needs the CDT function. I set it at one minute to do the Plank and started the timer. I checked the time that I had left remaining (tough exercise) and the display was blank! I then pressed a button and the display came back on with CHG flashing. So, off it went to a nearby window where it is now charging. Can someone explain what happened? Do you think this can happen once again? Thank you for your help.

If it happened once, it could definitely do it again.

Did you buy the watch new? Sometimes that sort of goofy behavior can be from a bad battery, even if it claims to be on "high." IF the watch had a previous owner and the watch sat in a dark drawer for a couple of years (thus killing the battery) and it was charged up before he sold it to you, that MIGHT be the problem.

If you bought it new, and it happens again, it might be worth looking into returning it -- but that's not a common problem with new G-Shocks!

I bought it brand new on EBAY. Hopefully it will not happen again and if it does, I will look at chaging the battery. Thanks for your help Mike!

Update: After two hours of being exposed to the sun, the battery is now showing "H". Can't figure this out!

Maybe the battery became disconnected briefly? I know that my solar G's acted like when I disconnected the battery, even if it's an outside chance of that happening with the caseback closed.

Makes sense Lanky. Time will tell and thank you!
