    help stop a scam?

hey was searching ebay for my grail frogman and came across this
    http://cgi.ebay.com/G-SHOCK-Addict-F...d=p3286.c0.m14

half decent price and all and thought i might try and finally obtain this watch. i googled the watch to show my wife and came upon this

    https://forums.watchuseek.com/showthread.php?t=200150

to me they look like the same pictures so if im wrong let me know and i will take this post away and if im right and the guy is trying to scam then i hope i saved someone a little trouble and lost money.

on a side note is anyone selling or willing to sell one of these watches legit?

have you looked down the listing he says he has just listed on ebay its probably the same person

maybe it didnt sell the 1st time around and so is putting it on ebay again and the length of time between listing could simply be as he says that its his very favorite watch

    hes not neccesseraly a scammer

i can however understand your concern

The WUS member and the e-bay account list different home addresses!

Also he listed it on November 12th, 2008, this current bay listing is as of 3 days ago. Doesn't hurt to check!

yes kj i can see that but im just saying there could be an explanation for it all

im willing to bet its the same guy though i could be wrong theres always a 1st time i suppose

and the 2 different addresses might not mean anything

a few things ring true for me

the account is old which can mean a couple of things
    1. it is a genuine acc. used occassionally when the seller needs it but is not an avid ebayer
    2. the account maybe hijacked and is in fact being used by a scammer

also why go to the trouble to add pictures from a well known web site where the people on it are nearly 100% certain to use ebay as it is a good place to get bargains

why not use a stock photo and not take the risk and thus cut out suspicision

i entirely understand you concern joe there are loads of scammers on ebay and your right it doesnt hurt to check

im just saying investigate 1st before telling everyone theresa scammer on ebay as the guy who started the thread has done

if this is a legitimate listing then this could hurt the sale of the watch and loose a genuine seller money

but then again it could very well be a scam

non of us know that for sure yet do we

good point with the guy could be using the pictures from the posting he baught it from i didnt think of that

If it is the same guy, he orginally said it was used with signs of wear and no box. Now it is NEW!
