Hi from London, My new G-shock

Over the weekend I was snooping online and saw a pic of a GW5600J, which instantly took me back to the 80s. Decided I must get one but that version is dual band only which kinda sucks as i'm in the UK.
Anyway after more snooping I found the 5 band GW-M5600 range but didn't like the red ring on the watch face. Fear not as I knew modding was possible so ordered a GW-M5600-1ER and the case for a GW-M5600BC.

Here's the finished product. I got the g-shock and watch case in 2 days .
Swapping the module was pretty straight forward as I have the screwdrivers, tweezers, silicone grease and blow-ball. Fitting the strap took me about 30mins!!

Hoping to collect the other colours in the range. Ordered the white edition already. Now just trying to source the yellow and green to complete the set
    kung-fusion and ericng79 like this.

Love the look you've put together with that 5600. I have a little "project" arriving in a few days myself

A big welcome to a fellow Londoner. Nice start. Really clean looking.

    Welcome to the forum!
I used to list my watches here until I realised it ruined people's Google searches...

    Cool mod.
Was there any size differences in the module or was it just a simple plug and play install?

Module was straight swap into a GW-M5600BC case; Transplant module, o-ring (re-grease) and caseback.
*there is a spring on the back of the module, just ensure you don't flip it over to displace.
