Hi! this is my first post here...

I've been lurking here occasionally, just to find out more. Anyway I've a couple of GShocks that perhaps some of you can provide some info about them. Both of them are made-in-Japan models. The G-Cool is model no: GT-001 nad the other has no GShock name, model no: DRO-204.

    Welcome sllee!

I've seen the top one before, but can't tell you anything about it. The second one, whilst a Casio, doesn't seem to be a G-Shock.

More knowledgeable people will be along soon, I imagine.

I used to list my watches here until I realised it ruined people's Google searches...

    Hi Sllee,

Welcome to our G-Shock forum. It looks likew someone put a DW-003 module into a Casio Illuminator model. I bet there is a G lighting up if you press the fifth light button...

Does the back mention a 1597 module? If it's not, what module does it indicate (3 or 4 digits in the rectangle).

    Cheers,

    Sjors

Hi Guys! Thx for the welcome and the info, esp. Sjors!
The second watch does what you say, a red "G" can be seen when the light is activated. Anyone has any idea or pics of what the original module should be?

    Hi Lee.

    Very nice to meet you.

Skyhook is another top Singapore guy that knows the G-Shock's like most know the back of their hands

Can't really help you on the two models you posted, but I do admire the G-Cool in certain models as the backlight's are real cooooollll

Cool Re: Hi! this is my first post here...

    Hi Ozzie!
I remember Skyhook... I think he kinda went walkabout over at the Russian watch forum a while back!
Oh.. Sjors had asked what the module no. was on the 2nd watch. It's actually 1188. Sjors, if you're reading this, hope you can shed some light on what this watch actually looked like before it mutated! (must've caught the 'G' virus!)

    Hi Lee,

This is a DW-003 version, but there were many different color versions:

Even the star in the small cercle (indicating the FLASH function) can be on the left and right side! It seems your is on the right side...

    Cheers,

    Sjors
