    Question Hiding??????

I searched for an answer to this but could not find one. Does anyone know why people blank out the serial numbers when showing caseback pic's? If the answer is obvious then I apologize in advance, but it has never made sense to me unless something funny is going on.:thanks

    It's a good question, Geode.

Sometimes people do that to avoid counterfeiters from copying it (a real serial number) on the caseback of fake watches. You see this especially in very limited or expensive watches.

You are the MAN!!! That makes good sense with all the predators out there.
Thank you so much for the insight. I wish we did not have to worry about that sort of thing...

+1 exactly, the fewer the serial numbers the fakers have the better, it helps to identify the fake/counterfeit by a quick search on the web.

same reason some people blacked out their license plate when posting on the web. they may hunt you down and steal your watch.
