    "High end" Casio Gs...

...are my new flavour of the month.

I recently purchased the MT-G S1000 AND I thought I had researched it thoroughly, however, I didn't realise there was an S1000 AND a G1000. Damn it. It was always my intent to get the watch with a backlight and GPS capability and in my rush I bought the S1000. I realised my error when I was setting it up and it dawned on me. I then though maybe I had researched the MR-G instead and perhaps the MT-G doesn't have these features UNTIL I SAW A YT VID with the G1000. Gave myself another bucketful of uppercuts for n00bness.

How the hell did I stuff that up? Too eager to push that purchase button and lay down some hard earned I reckon. Anyway, back to YT and more research AND I find that the model I want does in fact exist. So I bought it and now I have two iterations. Off to eBay for one I reckon LOL. Should be able to get near full price back on it, if in fact I sell it, I have Horologistitus and find it hard to get rid of watches

Anyway, here is a pic of both. I reckon the G1000 is minutely larger in bezel size.

Nice! Do you like the Mudmaster also or just metal cases?

That's the beauty of G-Shocks. There are just so damn many variations that right when you think you've found the right one, half a dozen others pop up.

It was Grandfather's and when Father gave it to me he said I give you the mausoleum of all hope and desire.... I give it to you not that you may remember time, but that you might forget it now and then for a moment and not spend all your breath trying to conquer it."

I used to have the S1000. If your wrist is already pushing it with the size, the G1000 will feel noticeably thicker. That is a reason I never got one.

No mate, they never really grab my eye. That's a nice looking piece but not for me.

So right. I have been watching some vids on the Hammered process MR-G and I reckon if I had the money I'd buy one

I reckon the G1000 is on the cusp of pushing the envelope. I don't think it looks too big on my wrist but I still have the S1000 to fall back on I spose.
