Hot, Humid Weather - What's Your Watch Preference ?

What type of watch (could be a G or non-G) do you prefer for hot, humid weather ?

I find that a resin band "sticks" (sometimes uncomfortably) to my wrist, so I prefer a light, thin stainless steel watch (usually, my Rolex Explorer 1) in these environments.

    What about you ?

Gulfman, this is the most comfortable watch I own when it's sticky and humid, close second is a Citizen pilot watch all Ti including the bracelet.

My resin G's and SS bracelets both work well in hot temps:

Both resins or bracelets are not worn tight at all, so they don't stick. I do live in the deserts of Southern California, but have travelled in many humid environments. Never a problem....

The heat index in eastern Nebraska yesterday was like 115 with the humidity factored in, and today was pretty toasty too. Metal G-shock bracelet seems best to me, the space between the links lets a little air through so they feel cooler to me than resin, though I did wear a resin model all day yesterday and it wasn't too bad. I think leather would be gross in short order, so I don't own any.

I live in the tropics, and wear a variety of straps; resin, synthetic leather, ballistic nylon & bracelets. The key is not to wear the watch overly tight, here in Kuantan 100% humidity is a daily event, what I would say is that look for straps that can withstand frequent washing.

Personally as I tend to rotate my watches frequently and bracelets are not allowed in the engineering areas of the facility, I tend to wear mostly resin as it is easy to wash off at the end of the day, in 100% humidity everything get warm & wet but not in a good way

Working out in the shop for about half a day the last few weeks with heat indexes of over 100 F. GW6900, GW200, and GW2500 seem to work the best for me. Key is light and loose.

I usually resort to any watch on a zulu or nato during this time of year. However, when working out, I wear either the 7900 or 5600, depending on what I'm doing

casio, seiko, different ABC's, metal, resin, nylon - that's all fine with me as long as i don't have to wear anything with leather strap
