    Hot resin

I am always hot. Therefore my resin straps trap heat and moisture. I have pretty much come to the conclusion that i need a nato on all my g-shocks. Is there any other solution? Anyone else experience this?

    Re: Hot resin

I've put strap adapters and 3-ring Zulu straps on four of my G-Shocks. I've put NATO straps on several of my other watches that have standard lugs. I find the nylon straps much more breathable than the stock resin straps, and more comfortable to wear in hot or humid weather.

There are pros and cons. I’m in the tropics so yeah the resin doesn’t breath but it washes up real easy. NATO’s are more comfortable but need more laundering. My canvas straps are the best for humid days but are the highest maintenance when used on my G’s. No free lunch.

This is my problem with resin band Gs as well, too hot. I put most of mine on 24mm sharkmesh bands that I trim to 16mm and problem solved. Check out page 41 of the Custom Squares Fuel Addiction thread here for more info and pics. PM me if you have questions.

I'm currently using four types of JaysAndKays adapters.

    1) Deep lug resin adapters on GX-56 (24mm strap)
    2) Standard resin adapters on GW-9400 (24mm strap)
    3) 5600 Convertibles resin adapters on GW-9110 (22mm strap)
    4) G-9000 resin adapters on G-9000 (22mm strap)

It's nice that they have so many different types of resin adapters available now. They also have several types of metal adapters available too.

to be fair, if youre in a climate so hot and humid to have this be a concern, the temp of the band is prob the same as your skin anyway lol

exactly my first thought, must be wearing it too tight. i dont think natos make that much difference, the thinner thickness and slightly less weight might give the illusion of cooler but its def. has never stopped my arm from sweating. i found i have to wear natos tighter too so it just makes it worse.
