How about gold electroplating of a plastic G-Shock?

Anyone ever tried this? I'm asking an electroplating service whether it's possible. I reckon it should be for the watch, but I'm not sure about the flexible plastic strap.

I used to do electroplating gold and chrome on many things and reckon they should be able to plate the case but the strap I reckon would most likely crack as you bend it to put it on etc

Maybe the strap could be coated with something to stiffen it.

It's the plating I meant cracking or lifting as it gets bent

Why not just plate the case?

If you want the strap plated too, do a combo bracelet!

Even if you were to use a combi bracelet you might find the finish to be a bit fragile for daily use.

As Sticky said even if it got done the finish would need looking after, I done a few strange things like crash helmets and they really were just for show
