How do activate the background light function ?

Hello, I have a Casio G-Shock G-7700-1ER and I can´t make the background light work when i point the watch at my face. I read the intruction manual and it says i should press B on the watch for 3 secs and then a red spot will blink on the watch. And it does blink, but than when i think the function is activated it doesn´t work at all.. Any one that could help me out?

    Hello.
I assume you are talking about the auto switch of the light ?
If so, you need to push the "G" button for 3 seconds or more to have it on.

    Cheers

OK, the Auto-illumination works OK on my 7700.
But there's no way to make the watch illuminate at the press of any oher button, is there? I remember this feature from a Casio watch from some 10 years ago and I can't find it here.

Plus, what does really the 2-sec press of the B-button (split-reset) do in the timekeeping mode? Besides the bliking leds, that is.

I don't think so, only one I've ever had that does this is a Timex Ironman.

That's what I read in the manual. I thought there's some second bottom to that. Partly because, as I noticed, sometimes there's one blink (red) and sometimes two (green+red). Is that just random?
