How to enable Auto backlight on the G-9000

    Hi,

I could use some help. I lost the manual for my G-9000 and I could not find a copy online.

I would appreciate it if someone could point me to where I can find an online version of the manual.

Alternatively, I could use some help with setting on and off the auto illumination feature.

    Kind Regards

I think you hold in the light button for about two seconds. Do the same to turn it off.

Hold the top right button for a few seconds till the AUTOEL indicator comes up.

Do note that it'll deactivate itself after 6 hours.

I've seen the 6-hr shut-off on non-solar G-shocks, so as not to run down the battery too much. All my solars don't turn off the auto-EL like that....

    The manual is here.
I used to list my watches here until I realised it ruined people's Google searches...

Yep - that's the one marked 'reset/split' on the button.

On dual illumination muddies the 'start/stop' turns on and off the hourly flash.

Thanks for your help guys. It is indeed the top right button.

I also downloaded the manual, it will definitely help.

    Thanks.
