Question How to keep Men In Ice White, Ice White

I'm about to order a Gulfman, Men in Ice White, because of the marvellous look of this watch.

But how to keep it Ice White?
I remember some complains here that it turn to yellow-ish spots on the watch.

Keep out of direct sun light by wearing under sleeves?
And if some dirt get on the watch, how to clean it?

All tips and tricks will be welcome!
    Thanks in advance.

    In its box?

If you're too concerned about that problem you probably shouldn't get or wear it. You will surely get marks on them sooner or later.

I worked with a guy once who had a stain on his shirt. He used this to cover it up:

The only way not to mark it up is to not wear it. Have fun wear it check with casio usa or other casio parts suppliers and see if you can get a second bezel strap for the future.

check with Sjors when he gets back from vacation he might be able to give you a closer source.

Re: How to keep Men In Ice White, Ice White

the ice white gulfman is one of my favorite gulfies. the use of blue accents in that series was very tasteful.

i had a rising white what that i wore carefully. never with jeans, never with any new colored shirt, never all day, and stored it in a closed box. i ended up selling it here and it was still basically new, though i wore it less than 10 times.

i'm really not sure there is a foolproof answer, and your best assurance might be to just keep a rare white watch deep into your rotation.

enjoy and please post pictures of your new catch. :thanks

I have a white 5600 and I basically just wear it with short sleeves (since long sleeves can run onto the white/clear), I never wear it if I'll be working or sweating, I try not to wear it too often in direct sunlight as this is also known to yellow it and just keep it out of harms way

My wear usually comes when I wear it out at night to the bar or a party or to the mall, etc.

Enjoy wearing it and don't worry too much about getting it dirty otherwise you're not enjoying it!

The MIIW series are of the glossy coating kind. This means that they are less prone to getting dirty compared to math finishes. Also they are not yellowed as easily. However ofcourse it is still important to be carefull as is the case with any bright colorfull G. I recommend the following.

Always rinse it under water after each day you use it

Never wear it with long sleeves or brand new jeans that was never washed.

Avoid putting your watch hand into your jeans pocket

Avoid touching it as much as possible, especially if you have dirty hands. never touch it if you have touched a news paper. Also avoid any contact with any form of inks from newspapers or dirty tables.

If it get stained try to remove it with soap and water. Sometimes stains sink into the material and just vanishes or atleast weakens. I once got a stain on my MIIW Riseman that was not removed by wvashing it, but it is no more, it just vanished like magic!

If possible try to find spare bezel and strap sets, if you intend to wear a colorfull G as a daily wearer!
