Question How long before G-shock straps are broken in?

This GW6900-1 is pretty hard unlike other resin straps I own.
The MTG is retired and the 5600 too. Right now, the only working G-Shocks that I use and enjoy are the Riseman GW9200-1 and the GW6900-1

If I can own a Rolex Submariner I would. I know they are tough too, their homages are tough. Trust me.

    G-Shock MTG930DA-8V, G-Shock GW-5600J-1. G-Shock Riseman GW9200-1, G-Shock GW6900-1

Depend on how long and how many times u were expose to direct sunlight...more often is more quicker to break

How long does it take to break in a pair of work boots? (There's not really an answer for that one, either. )

For boots it depends on how much they're worn, how often they're worn, what conditions they're worn in, and so on.

How long it takes a strap to "break in" depends on a lot of factors, including but not limited to ambient temperature, UV exposure, body temperature, how much or how little sweat and/or body oils the resin is exposed to.

There are quite a few threads around here where people placed their Mudman bezels in boiling water to soften the button covers to make them easier to push. It didn't take long until a few people started boiling their Mudman straps while they were at it, and they reported that it softened the straps as well!

I boiled my GW-9000 bezel and strap, and it seemed like they softened quite a bit. I then boiled a GW-500 strap, hoping that would soften since I think those are even stiffer than stock GW-6900 straps. I boiled that strap for ten minutes as I did for the Mudman, then boiled it for another half hour, and it doesn't seem like it helped one bit.

i actually prefer stiffer bands as your don't want your watch too tight.
soft bands you have to tighten up another notch IMO.
but it seems many people feel of opposite, but I never understood it.
    ymmv.
Does anyone know what time it is?

I figured it out. It wasn't that the strap is worn in. It is because the strap is not tapered enough, and it digs into your wrist. I put another strap on it. I like it more that way. Once I saw the bright el on the GW690-1. I am going to do whatever to wear my G-Shock. Big watches with smaller straps are way more comfortable. Like the original Rolex Submariner idea. I can bend my wrist better too.

Also, the stock GW6900-1 watch strap is weird. If the strap keeper is not on the strap. If you move your arm and drag the tail the strap can come off. Serious. Not a good designed watch strap.
