How many pieces in your wearing rotation? And what are your top 5 G-Shocks?

So I have been buying G-shocks for 5-7 years. I have discovered and been reminded throughout that time that I just am not a collector, and do not like to buy pieces I do not wear. So early this year I went from 25+ pieces to 10. I realized 10 is still too much to have in a rotation for me because some pieces I was wearing every 3-4 months. So I decided to take it down to 5 and it seems to be the magic number, but man is it hard to pick 5, especially since there are a couple non G-shocks I like. It has been super super hard choosing 5, and especially deciding to get rid of stuff to sell that I like but do not use. So how many watches make up a rotation in your opinion that you actually use? I think it is five, so secondly, what are your top 5 g-shocks? Specific model differences count each as 1, meaning, GW-5000 and GW-5000B count as two pieces not one; DW-9900 and DW-9900MD count as two pieces not one, etc....

Please note, the questions is not asking how many you collect because some collection pieces are not worn or are worn too sparingly to be part of a daily rotation. Thank you for your input.

Been interested in horology about 20 years and collecting the last 15. Have about 120 Gs and wear 10 regularly.

In rough order of most worn:
    gw-5000
    gs-100
    dw-5600 (gold bits)
    gw-9200
    ga-100

The gw-5000 I could quite happily wear most of the time ...... ish ;)

One military/Pilot on Nato, one digital on rubber/resin, one dressy on leather, and one do-it-all on bracelet.

    DW5000-1JF
    DW5000D-8JF
    DW5000BL-2JF
    DW5000ML-1JF
    DW5000Sp-1JF

I prefer non-atomic/solar, screw back, positive display, CDT settable to seconds, plenty of bezel/strap options, and EL without image.

I've only got 3 G's, but I find myself always returning to my squares. So I guess I would only have a top 2 which are the g5600a7 on combi bracelet and my 5600c on zulu. For those curious, my third G is a 6600, which shares the combi bracelet

my wearing depends on the season too, so I guess i need more than 20 G's. my fav. G's are based on negative display and resin colors. most of G's are mod, so it's hard to tell without pix: my top 5 are during this winter in Raincouver are: gd-100 (the size is just right), g6900 (the light button is very useful at night), g-5600 for wearing around the house all day, gx-56 orange and 9300 are for going out -

my frog, gulfman, and riseman hardly get their chance, but will do when there is more sunlight

My collection is a "wearing" collection, though at 40+ less than once a month doesn't exactly cut it on this thread. Sooooo here's my shot (not necessarily in order):

    1. GW5000 (just got it, but it's obvious)
    2. GD100MS-3.
    3. The hulk. GW4000-1a3
    4. Smokey grey mudman. G9300GY
    5. Smokey grey gulfman. GW9110GY

I only have four Gs now and all are listed in my signature. But my top has to be the 1000G, followed by 1000, then 9200 and 5610 in terms of pricing and functionality.
Casio Riseman GW-9200J-1JF, Rangeman GW-9400J-1JF, Frogman GWF-1000G-1DR & Classic GW-M5610R-1DR. TAG Heuer Aquaracer 300m Calibre 5 WAN2110.BA0822. Seiko Criteria 100m Quartz Chronograph SNDC63P1.Rolex DeepSea Sea-Dweller 116660. Apple Watch Series 2 42mm SS with Milanese Loop.

Re: How many pieces in your wearing rotation? And what are your top 5 G-Shocks?

I am currently in the process of trimming down my rotation as well
I'll be moving a lot in the next few years and it would not be ideal for me to carry too many watches with me.
What I plan to do is only allow myself 5 watches, and I'll leave the rest in my permanent address.

Needless to say that this is an excruciatingly painful exercise...
So far I've narrowed my current rotation down to the following:
    * Caveat 01 I have five more watches incoming.....so I don't know what's going to happen
    * Caveat 02 I don't have anything dressy in my rotation; I might need to give up one of my g-shocks for a dress diver... NOOO

*I will probably retire this vintage MIY once my GF8250-9 arrives
